Forged from the politically destitute swamps of Florida, Highway Advisory Radio brings its interpretation of “rock” by radioactively bombarding it with other genres making it hard to pinpoint what the hell they are. Prog, Art Rock, Nu-Metal, R&B, Hardcore Punk, Shoegaze, and whatever labels are thrown our way shows that whatever sonic temple within which HWY worships does not limit itself to one sphere of influence. This has led to a special live experience that has garnered a cult following of FL wackos eagerly waiting for the next show.

Highway Advisory Radio was founded by guitarist Gordon Sloan (Grandeur and the Delusions, Dagger) and drummer Joseph Emminger in 2019. Joshua Paul (Nude Tayne) joined as a second guitarist along with bassist Andrew Wajek (Unkempt, Revel in the View) and vocalist Laith Abdel (Nude Tayne, Mindwash) joined the party and together wrote their first album, “Heavy Traffic”, released in December 2023. In late 2022, drummer John Ostberg (Dove, House of Lightning) replaced Joe where today the band operates as a 4 piece machine and is currently writing our next album “Future Medicine.”
